Spring Commissioning Request

Commissioning

All vessels, unless otherwise noted, will receive the basic commissioning services once launched. This includes:

• Checking all thru-hull fittings and visible bilge compartments for leaks,

• Checking engine and generator fluids,

• Starting engines and generator (reaching operating temperature)

• Verifying no fuel or water leaks are present post-startup,

• Verifying operation of navigation lights and horn,

• Running AC units, priming if necessary.

• Verifying battery chargers' operation (Vessels will be put on shore power on our docks after launch, and will be verified for operation of battery chargers).

Launch Date Assignment and Procedure

I understand that my launch date will be assigned based on where my vessel is located in Bay Marine Chicago's storage building or yard. Bay Marine Chicago will work with my requested launch date and attempt to accommodate my requested launch date as closely as possible. Bay Marine will contact me via phone to confirm and set the proposed launch date during March. I understand that Bay Marine must receive the majority of boat owner Commissioning forms before scheduling can be finalized.

Settled Balance Requirements for Launch

I understand that all open balances must be paid and any due payments must be settled before Bay Marine Chicago launches my vessel.

Vessel Departure Requirements

I understand that I am required to remove my vessel from the Bay Marine Chicago docks within 48 hours of launch and commissioning unless other arrangements are in place. I understand that Bay Marine Captains can deliver my vessel to a transient slip in Waukegan Harbor by request if needed.

I understand that Bay Marine reserves the right to provide Waukegan Harbor my customer information, and to deliver vessels - after 48 hours on Bay Marine Chicago's docks - to a transient slip within the harbor, and that the cost of the transient slip will be billed to me via Bay Marine's billing system.
